About the Role
As an IT Assistant, you’ll support the installation and maintenance of IT equipment and software in our Banadir & Southern States offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and install IT systems (computers, software, etc.)
- Diagnose and fix hardware/software issues
- Provide staff training and support
- Manage the Local Area Network (LAN)
- Ensure data security and perform regular backups
Specific Duties
Software:
- Install and configure necessary software
- Ensure all software meets our guidelines and policies
- Protect data from viruses and external threats
Hardware:
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets (computers, printers, etc.)
- Conduct regular maintenance and prevent damage from power surges
- Update the IT Asset Registry
General Duties
- Train staff on IT equipment use
- Support ICT equipment purchases
- Update records and inventories
- Adhere to our Child Protection Policy
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma in Computer Science
- 1+ year of IT experience
- Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, LAN/WAN, and troubleshooting
- Good communication skills
- Team player with minimal supervision
- Fluent in English
- INGO experience is a plus
- Ability to train end users
